Increase your visibility with attendees by becoming a Summit sponsor. Summit sponsors have the opportunity to expand their presence on-site by delivering session presentations. This is an excellent way to reach Career and Technology Educators who are a captive audience for your company’s education technology solutions.
Work-Based Learning
Work-Based Learning (WBL) provides students with authentic workplace experiences. These experiences can be unpaid or paid and include internships, business tours, mentoring, job shadowing and career-related classroom assignments. Well-planned WBL experiences are linked to classroom instruction and are clear about student outcomes. Students should also be provided with appropriate safety and health training before participating in a workplace experience.
WBL can help students build bridges from adolescent roles in school to adult roles in professional settings by connecting academic learning with real-world skills and career options. Quality work-based learning involves a continuum of low-intensity experiences that start with exposure to careers and progress through more intensive experiences that allow for hands-on learning. In addition, WBL can improve teachers’, counselors’ and administrators’ capacity to support their students’ career development efforts by bringing actual workplace experiences into classrooms and counseling settings.
Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is an important skill for students, as it allows them to develop creative solutions and think outside the box. It also builds resilience and a strong work ethic, as entrepreneurs must be prepared to face many challenges in the business world. It also helps them develop leadership and management skills.
Entrepreneurs must be resourceful, as they are often solely responsible for their company’s success. They must be able to make decisions quickly and efficiently, and they should always be looking for opportunities to expand their businesses.
